2008 Mamie Francis Blanket Competition Class B-2

At Maryland Sheep & Wool 2008 there were 5 classes in the competition, B-2 was for a small lap robe in any structure other than plain weave – the first places in each of the 5 classes are then judged for the winner of the Mamie Francis Competition. In addition to the large ribbon, it carries a $500.00 cash prize and the weaver’s name on the Mamie Francis Blanket Competition Plaque. |

"Dyeing Your Socks Off!"

The photos are from our guild meeting held on November 29, 2006 at Sue Groundwater's shop Frog Eye Fiber Emporium. Sue Groundwater and Rebecca Fox explained and demonstrated specific dyeing techniques for making your own colorful sock yarns. In addition we had our holiday luncheon at the same meeting. |
